Florida Safe Home helps homeowners in Florida connect with contractors for home-improvement projects. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and when it may be shared — including with the participating contractors who may be able to help with your project.

This policy describes how the service operates today. If our practices change, we will update this page and revise the effective date above.

When you submit a Get Matched request, you provide information about your project and property, including:

• Project type, project description and your desired timeframe
• Property street address, unit (if applicable), city, Florida, ZIP code and county
• Your relationship to the property
• Your first name, last name, email address and phone number
• Optionally, up to six photos or PDF documents about your project

The form also records your required project-contact acknowledgement and whether you opted in to receive occasional updates from us.

If you contact us directly by email, we receive the information contained in your message.

Our website may record limited technical and marketing information, such as:

• The website or source that referred you and the page you first landed on
• Campaign parameters in the web address, such as utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content, gclid, fbclid and msclkid
• Page and form-step activity that does not include your personal details
• Submission timestamps and indicators used to identify duplicate requests

Referral and campaign information may be held temporarily in your browser's session storage and may be saved with a request you submit.

Through this website, we do not currently collect:

• Social Security numbers or government identification numbers
• Date of birth
• Financing or prequalification information
• Bank account information
• Homeowner payment-card information
• Device or browser fingerprints

Florida Safe Home does not process homeowner payments through this website. Any payment you make for a project is handled directly between you and the contractor you select.

We use the information described above to:

• Receive, review and process your Get Matched request
• Understand the project you are asking about
• Identify participating contractors who may be able to help
• Present your project to participating contractors and record which contractor takes it on
• Allow a contractor to contact you about your project once the applicable step in our process has occurred
• Communicate with you about your request
• Send you occasional updates, if you asked for them
• Operate, maintain, secure and improve the website and our service
• Detect, prevent and address fraud, abuse, duplicate submissions and technical problems
• Maintain business records and comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not use your information for automated decisions that produce legal effects about you, and we do not build advertising profiles about you.

When you submit a Get Matched request, you are asking Florida Safe Home to share information about your project with participating contractors for the purpose of helping connect you with a contractor who may be able to assist with your project.

Information is released in stages. Before a contractor takes on your project, participating contractors may receive limited project information such as:

• Project type
• A summary of the project
• City, county and ZIP code
• Your desired timeframe

At that stage they do not receive your name, email address, phone number, exact street address, or the photos and documents you uploaded.

After a contractor accepts your project through the platform, your contact and project information — including your name, email address, phone number, full property address and any files you uploaded — may become available to that contractor so they can contact you about the project you requested. Uploaded files are stored privately and made available through controlled, time-limited access.

A project request may be presented to more than one participating contractor, and more than one contractor may interact with your project information over the life of a request, for example if a project is later reassigned. We ask participating contractors to use homeowner information only for the purpose of responding to the project request.

Florida Safe Home does not sell homeowner personal information.

We may also share information where required by law, to respond to lawful requests, to protect the rights, property or safety of homeowners, contractors, our team or the public, or in connection with a business transaction such as a merger or transfer of the business.

We rely on service providers to operate the website and our service. These providers perform functions such as website and application hosting, database infrastructure, file storage, and website fonts and supporting technology. Our database and file storage are provided through Supabase.

Service providers may process information on our behalf in order to provide those services to us.

Our public consumer pages do not currently use Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel, advertising pixels, remarketing tags, session-replay tools or behavioral advertising cookies. Our public pages load web fonts through Google Fonts.

We use your browser's session storage to remember referral and campaign information during your visit, as described above. The signed-in contractor and administrator area uses a limited cookie to remember a sidebar display preference.

If we add analytics or advertising technologies in the future, we will update this policy and provide any notice or choices required at that time.

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including operating and improving the service, responding to and documenting project requests, maintaining appropriate business records, resolving disputes and complying with applicable legal obligations. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the reason we hold it.

If you would like us to delete information you submitted, contact us at info@floridasafehome.com and we will review your request.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect the information we hold, including access controls that limit who can view homeowner contact details and private storage for uploaded project files.

No website, service or method of transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted to or from this website.

Submitting a Get Matched request is voluntary. You may choose not to submit a request, and you may leave optional fields blank. The occasional-updates checkbox is optional and does not affect whether we process your project request.

You can ask us to access, correct or delete information you gave us, or ask a question about how your information is handled, by emailing info@floridasafehome.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and some information may be retained where we have a legitimate or legal reason to keep it. Once a contractor has your contact information, you may also contact that contractor directly about their own records.

We may contact you by email or telephone about a project request you submitted. If you opted in to occasional updates, we may also email you general information about Florida Safe Home; you can ask us to stop at any time by emailing info@floridasafehome.com.

We do not currently send text messages to homeowners. If we introduce text messaging in the future, we will obtain the consent required at that time and update this policy. Your current project-contact acknowledgement is not consent to receive marketing text messages.

Participating contractors communicate with you directly and manage their own communication practices.

This website is intended for adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided information to us, contact info@floridasafehome.com and we will take appropriate steps.

Our pages link to other websites, including government and industry resources and the websites of participating contractors. We do not control those websites, and their privacy practices are their own. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any website you visit.

Florida Safe Home serves homeowners in Florida, and our service is intended for users located in the United States. Privacy laws in the United States apply differently depending on a business's size, revenue, the volume of consumer data it handles and whether it sells personal information. This policy describes our actual practices rather than claiming that any particular privacy statute applies to us.

Regardless of which laws apply, you can contact us at info@floridasafehome.com with any privacy question or request, and we will respond as described in Your Choices above.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the website after an update means the updated policy applies to your use of the site.
